Getting started

What are the prerequisite to use Silex?

1. You need to have a Windows or a Mac computer
2. You need to have at least one account in the supported crypto exchanges. The current list of supported exchanges is: Binance, Bittrex, Coinbase Pro, Kraken, Poloniex, Cryptopia, Kucoin. More to come soon.
3. Have access to a valid email address to confirm your account

How do I start using Silex?

Download and install the application on your PC or Mac. Upon starting, Silex will ask you for your email address and send you a confirmation email. Click on the link inside the confirmation email to activate your account. Silex will ask you for some details including a PIN code before showing you the main dashboard.

Silex loads up with some default exchanges. You can add or remove exchanges at your leisure by clicking on the + icon next to the exchange icons to add an exchange, or by clicking on the exchange icon itself to display the details of the exchange and then choose Delete.

Silex really shines when you start entering your API keys and allow withdrawal for these API keys. You can then trade and transfer your coins between the exchanges you have set up. To add an exchange, click on the + next to the exchange icons and enter your API keys there. If you don’t know where to find or how to generate these API keys, there is a tutorial available under the “Where do I find my API keys” link under the secret key field when you try to add an exchange to Silex.

Problems entering PIN code

If you enter your PIN code but Silex doesn’t seem to recognize it, it is likely a problem with your internet connection. Silex is sending the PIN code to our server and is returning a decryption key if the PIN code checks out. The key is then used to decipher your API keys stored locally on your computer.

Forgot PIN code

For security reasons, there is no way to retrieve a forgotten PIN code. In case you forgot your PIN code, you need to reset your account and enter the API keys of each exchange anew. Note that no data is lost because Silex is not storing any data on a central server outside the encryption key for the API keys, not even the API keys themselves.

What are Silex transaction limits?

Transaction limits depend on the transaction limits on your account for the exchange in question. Most exchanges offer higher transaction limits when the user agree to go through a formal KYC process. Please refer to the documentation of the exchanges.

Does Silex have a minimum transaction amount?

Minimum transaction amounts varies depending on which exchange the trade is performed

Where can I see a list of my transactions?

Can I use Silex on my phone is there an app?

We are planning on creating a phone application for Silex. We don’t have any definitive date for the moment, but this is in our roadmap

How do I delete my account?
